TOASTING TO GREATER HEIGHTS AT
THE FPAS ANNUAL DINNER 2009

The FPAS Annual Dinner took place on Thursday, 30 April 2009 at the M Hotel Singapore, after the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of the 2009/ 2011 Executive Council.
In his welcome speech to the guests at the dinner, FPAS President James Sim, CFP®, thanked the members for their continuous support of the organisation over the past year. He also took the opportunity to encourage more volunteers to step forward and contribute to the Association in any way that they can.

FPAS Honorary Member & Advisor, Seah Seng Choon, then took to the stage to share with the guests some of the consumer feedback received during consultations conducted with those affected by the Lehman Minibond debacle. Highlighting the loopholes or gaps existing in the system, Seah maintained that the incident has indeed helped greatly in paving the way forward for the regulation and marketing of unlisted financial products.

In the spirit of commemorating the annual achievements of the Association, certificates were also presented to those who had successfully completed and met the requirements of the AFPCM, AWPCM and CFP® certification programmes.
